Wooden toy game

Arnold St Mary’s Pre-School was established 1969 and is a not-for-profit charity, which means that any profit we do make is reinvested into new equipment that the children can enjoy and benefit from.

We are based at the Family Centre on Church Lane, Arnold (behind the church), Nottingham. With excellent staff to child ratios, our team is well-qualified, DBS checked and we pay individual attention to the needs and development of each child.

We have attracted highly-qualified nursery workers with a wealth of experience. We frequently have students on work placements, but they are always guided and supported by our knowledgeable staff. We are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all.

  • Our charity no. is 1017606, we are OFSTED registered and a member of PSLA (Pre-School Learning Alliance).
  • The Family Centre which we occupy, is located in beautiful grounds by St Mary’s church, within a stones throw of ‘The Rec’ and a recently refurbished children’s playground. All this equals lots of outdoor play.
  • We are a few minutes walk from the centre of Arnold, cover a large area of Arnold and have a car park to ensure easy and safe drop off.
  • The hall has full disabled access.
  • We take children from 2 to 5 years. Catering for all children’s individual needs regardless of ability, colour, race or background.
  • Is your child still in Nappies?…..No problem! We are very happy to support parents through the process of toilet training.
  • We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Curriculum.
  • We have a solid staff base of qualified early years professionals, 3 who are level 3 qualified and 2 who are level 4 qualified (one of whom is studying for a Foundation degree and one of whom has Bsc Hons degree.)
  • The business is managed by a Committee of volunteering parents alongside a part time administrator.
  • Everyone involved with Pre-School is DBS checked.
  • Lastly, we have good links with schools in our area to ensure smooth and confident onward transition for your child.
